She gets to keep her doggy!

Help support the Rott family

Chloe had another day of chemotherapy. We were a little nervous for the first 1/2 hr because if there is going to be a reaction to it that's usually when it will happen. Thankfully God answered our prayers and the treatment was uneventful. She was able to watch her American Girl movie as it was happening.

She has been on steroids of a few days now and the mood swings are starting to kick in. She goes from sweet to spicy and then back to sweet again in a flash.  It can be frustrating but also slightly amusing at times.  She went from growling at us in anger to painting a I Love You picture in seconds.  Chloe's jaw was sore this morning from one of the meds, but a little pain killer helped her feel better and then the rest of the day she was doing well.

Jillian and I had a class on care at home and how important it is to keep Chloe from getting sick. Her immune system is essentially completely knocked out, so we have to take every precaution to keep her from any new germs. We know a lot of people want to come see her but for her own safety we have to be very careful about her contact with people. We are going into germ lockdown.  Chloe was happy that she gets to keep Dozer her "favorite doggy in the world" because we didn't know if we would have to get rid of him.  They said that we can keep the pets we have but don't bring her around any new animals. I guess her new bunny will have to wait.

Please continue to pray for her healing, peace, strength and that the first month is successful in putting the cancer into remission.   We are also praying that she has few ( or no )side affects from the chemo and meds. She has also been having some stomach pains. We also are praying that they don't move another patient into our room. It would make it so much harder for rest, cleanliness and overall enjoyment of our stay at the hospital.

We are overwhelmed by the support, generosity and prayers that we have received from around the world! We cannot thank everyone enough.
